    This interdisciplinary conference brings together expert speakers from the China-Europe Commercial Collaboration Association, City, University of London, Middlesex University, Southampton Solent University, World Maritime University, and the Chinese Shipping Association of London to discuss several major legal, economic and political issues of maritime governance in evidence around the world today. Topics covered at the 2017 Annual Conference will explore a range of contemporary issues related to enforcement of maritime claims and the use of regulation of the world’s seaborne trade and ports. Issues addressed include: conflict of laws, arrest of ships, limitation of liability for maritime claims, charter-parties, the expansion of China’s trade and shipping; the global regulation of cargo haulage and the changing role of international ports.
