Akua Doreen Owusu-Akonor graduated from Middlesex University with an MA in Human Resource Management, and is now Associate Director, HR Portfolio at Leapfrog Investments, a leading impact investor across Africa and Asia. As a senior professional with over 15 years of experience in HR, Akua has striven for diversity and inclusion across a range of industries, with an aim to increase gender diversity and women in leadership roles. Formerly Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Vodafone, Akua launched the first ‘Women in Technology’ and ‘Women in Vodafone’ programmes, and was able to achieve the first 50:50 gender split in a senior leadership team within the company.
