Nick's team supporting students

Nick Bevan, Pro Vice Chancellor

Since joining Middlesex in 2009 I'm proud to have driven significant changes to the University such as the 24/7 library, UniHelp 7 days a week, and free student printing. I have worked in several universities but nowhere else responds so quickly to student feedback as Middlesex.

As Director of the Library and Student support I'm fortunate in having an excellent customer-focused team; they are one of the main reasons why I enjoy coming to work.

In 2012 I was awarded the title of Pro Vice Chancellor, and since then my team have launched major improvements such as the UniHelp Desk, giving students support seven days a week for the first time. In October that same year we opened the library 24/7 during term-time and we continue to invest in more books and computers.

This academic year (2013) we have introduced free printing for academic use across campus. We are not complacent, we recognise that there's room for improvement and we're always keen to hear what students say about our services.  We can't necessarily deliver what everyone would like, but we listen, and you can be sure of one thing – we won't stand still!
