Middlesex Creative Writing Alumni published her first novel and won a prize at the 2016 Proverse ceremony in Hong Kong

Ivy is the author of the award winning novel titled: Cry of the Flying Rhino
She studied Creative Writing at MDX and started her first novel here at Middlesex as a postgraduate student. Prior to this recent award, Ivy won the Middlesex Literary Prize Award in 2005.
In her prize acceptance speech at the 2016 Proverse ceremony and book launch in Hong Kong, Ivy thanked Middlesex University for her journey while giving her speech and also thanked MDX lecturer Dr. Josie Barnard in the acknowledgement section of the new book.
