New Year, New You

By MDX Student Writer, Iolanda Brazza

For anyone wishing to work on self-improvement this New Year - Student Writer Iolanda has just the guide you need.

New Year, New You!

We’ve all heard it before: the “new year, new me” cliché. Every January is the same - filled with new fad diets and exercise plans that fizzle out into chocolate bars by March.

But what if we actually stopped making excuses and turned this cliché into a reality?

Did you know that regular exercise not only has a huge impact on your physical health, but also on your mental health?

Physical Health Benefits:

  • Exercising regularly can boost your immune system so you’ll get ill less often!
  • Daily Exercise boosts your overall energy levels! So put down that energy drink and jump on that treadmill!

Mental Health Benefits:

  • Cardiovascular exercise helps create new brain cells: boosting concentration levels, improving memory and improving overall brain activity!
  • Exercising increases the release of endorphins in your body which makes you feel happy and improves productivity!

Regular exercise helps to clear your mind and makes you feel more relaxed – enabling you to get a better night’s sleep
