Assessment

Your work at the University may be assessed in a number of ways:

Often the assessment of a module will be a mixture of two or more types, in several parts - e.g. two short coursework essays and a two-hour examination.

You should be aware of the assessment requirement of your modules.  There may be a choice and it is very important that you complete all the required parts of the assessment.

Many modules require all assessment components to be passed. At the beginning of each module you should ensure that you have a written statement of the assessment requirements of the module, in the module guide or subject handbook.
Some modules have specific attendance requirements for successful completion of the module, which may be 100 percent in some cases. See:
