    Parking around Hendon

    01/11/2016
    We have made a commitment to a green transport policy, so we actively promote alternatives to using the car. We encourage you to use public transport instead of coming by car

    Students walking into the QuadThere is no parking on campus between 8am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (except for registered disabled drivers). Registered disabled drivers should report to the security office in the Quad with their blue badge to receive a permit and enable access.

    The University has received a complaint from one of our community neighbours, Age UK Barnet, concerning students increasingly parking their cars at the Meritage Centre, Church End, Hendon. Their car park is private and must not be used by students.

    We work hard to maintain a good relationship with our neighbours and local residents.  We do not encourage driving to University, but if you do drive to Hendon and park in the locality do so considerately, safely and without impeding on other road users - you should never block access across driveways and entrances to property.

    Our Student Charter sets out the culture in which we all work; three points are particularly useful as they describe how we:

    • Will Interact with fairness and respect;
    • Should by our actions enhance the reputation of the university;
    • Contribute positively to the local community
