What is Ramadan?
Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims in which they fast from dawn till sunset, abstaining from the consumption of food and drink. It’s a time for reflection and unity. Fasting during Ramadan aims to purify the mind, body and spirit, as well as bring the faithful closer to God. It is one of the five pillars of Islam, and many will use the month to focus more on prayer and charity, other pillars of Islam.
Prayer facilities are available at Portakabin 8 (behind the Vine building).
