Getting set up

  • Enrol online

If you haven't yet enrolled online, make sure you do so as soon as possible! You will need to do this in order to be able to access many of the University services, including viewing your timetable, and allowing your student loan to be processed.

You'll also be eligible for great student benefits like a student oyster card with London travel discounts. Plus you'll be invited to download the MDXApp; your way to stay up-to-date with the latest campus news, find your classes, see your timetable and stay connected with Middlesex. Once you enrol, your library account will be created 24 hours later ready for you to start using.

You can enrol through myUniHub using your University login details that have been emailed to you. If you have any difficulties logging in, or remembering your details, please contact UniHelp .

  • Download MDXapp

With personalised features such as your timetable, grades and progress, online library account, email and MyLearning, MDXapp will help you to manage your day-to-day student life on and off campus.

How do I download MDXapp?

  2. Search “MDXapp” or Middlesex University
  3. Install and accept T&C’s

Never provide any of the following information in response to emails you receive:

  • Your password
  • Banking details or
  • Debit/credit card details

We’ve prepared some great tips on how to spot scam emails and stay cyber safe.

  • Request a letter

Do you need a student status letter for a bank account, council tax exemption or a variety of other things?

All of the letters and forms you may need to request from Middlesex University can be found on UniHub.

  • Principles of online learning

An important step to getting set up this year, is to understand our principles for online learning – something we all at #TeamMDX are responsible for adhering to.

At Middlesex, we believe that going to university is about both learning and learning how to learn. We have designed these principles as ‘steps’ that are really important you take in order to fully enjoy your time at Middlesex.

This is an online journey: from your first encounter with the technology to constructive online behaviours, giving and receiving feedback and seeking further support.

  • Accessing your support services

During these uncertain times, we understand that feeling connected and supported is more important than ever. Most face-to-face support for students is suspended until further notice, but you can continue to access all of your support services by phone or via our Chat service and online enquiry form.

Check out the contact information for all our friendly support services including UniHelp, Counselling and Mental Health, Welfare, and International Student Advice.
