    • Dean's Academic Excellence Scholarship - Worth up to 50% of the Masters Fee

      Dean's Academic Excellence Scholarship (Deadline midnight 7 July)

      For those starting a course in October 2016 we are offering a limited number of scholarships worth up to 50% of the Masters fee for the most talented students.

      These highly competitive scholarships are open to all UK/EU applicants, in addition to international applicants who are either current Middlesex undergraduate students (at all Middlesex campuses) or else have graduated from Middlesex University previously. International students who are not current Middlesex students, or alumni of the university, are not eligible for this scholarship.

      We are looking for students who can demonstrate excellence academically and/or professionally, and who have the potential to succeed. We will be awarding 75 scholarships and applications will be assessed according to the following criteria:

      • Prior academic achievement
      • Professional experience
      • Commendations, prizes and awards you have received
      • Your vision for your future, and how the course will help you achieve this
      • One standout reference which should outline your experience, skills, knowledge and personal development

      The scholarship will be awarded as a 50% reduction of the postgraduate tuition fee and applied on enrolment.

      All applicants must have achieved or be expected to achieve a 2:1 or 1st class honours in their first degree. You are required to have applied to Middlesex University for an eligible postgraduate programme of study at our London campus before your application can be assessed. Upon applying, you will be given a Middlesex Number which you will require to complete the scholarship application.

      How to apply

      To apply for the Dean's Academic Excellence Scholarship, please fill in our online application form.

      Please note, you cannot start the form and return to it at a later point. We advise that you save your answers to a word document as you go along, to ensure you do not lose your work.

      The deadline for applications is midnight on 7 July, 2016.

      Please note the following exceptions:

      Applicants for MA Social Work: only in cases where a student is paying the course fees themselves, or part thereof, will we provide the scholarship. The 50% award will only be applied to the part of the fees that the student is paying themselves

      MBA Programmes: only students applying for the general MBA programme are eligible for the scholarship, our specialist MBAs are not eligible

      Research degrees (PhD) are not eligible for this scholarship.

    • Middlesex Postgraduate Support Bursary - worth 75% of the master's fee

      Middlesex Postgraduate Support Bursary (PSS) - worth 75% of the master's fee, available to Middlesex University students only

      The deadline for this scholarship is midnight 29 April.

      Middlesex University is proud to be awarding 40 bursaries, worth 75% of the master's fee, to students who are looking to start a full time postgraduate course at Middlesex in October 2016.

      If you are in your final year of undergraduate study, and you have received a full or partial non-repayable maintenance grant from the Student Loans Company, then you could benefit from this fantastic scholarship opportunity. This scholarship will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.

      Full Eligibility Criteria: You must –

      • Be in your final year of undergraduate study at Middlesex
      • Have received a partial, or full, non-repayable maintenance grant from the Student Loans Company (SLC) during your final year of study
      • Have been charged the higher tuition fees, in most cases this will be £9,000
      • Be expected to receive a minimum 2:1 award for your UG degree

      NB: Some Master's courses will not be eligible for the PSB, including courses which are funded by other public bodies. The PSB will only be applicable to full time postgraduate courses at Middlesex. Research degrees are not eligible for this scholarship.

      HOW TO APPLY

      Applications for the Middlesex PSB can only be made once you have completed and submitted your application to study a postgraduate degree at Middlesex.

      Once this has been completed, please contact the scholarships office and inform them that you would like to be considered for the Middlesex PSB. Contact should be made via email only: scholarships@mdx.ac.uk

      In the email, you should include:

      • Student number
      • Application number
      • Name of course
      • Predicted undergraduate degree classification

      The scholarships team will provide receipt of your application, and provisional allocations of this scholarship will be confirmed shortly after you confirm your final degree classification.

    • The Alumni Bursary - worth up to 20% of the master's fee

      Amount: up to 20% of the tuition fee
      Eligibility: any Middlesex student or alumnus in any subject

      This year we are offering a reduction of up to 20% in postgraduate tuition fees for Middlesex alumni. There is no application process for your alumni bursary. Please apply for your programme as normal and highlight that you are an alumni during the admissions process to ensure the bursary is applied.
      The Alumni Bursary of 20% is available to UK/EU students who completed their first degree at Middlesex and have an offer for a further taught Masters programme here. The bursary applies to self-financing students and students not eligible for funding from Student Finance England.

      International (i.e. outside of the EU) alumni, not already receiving an International Merit Award or regional award, may be eligible to receive a 10% reduction in tuition fees when progressing to postgraduate study at Middlesex. Find out more from your nearest regional office.

      NB: Students already holding another Middlesex Scholarship (e.g. Academic Excellence Scholarship) are not entitled to the Alumni bursary.

    • International Bursaries and Merit Awards

      Amount: up to £5,000
      Eligibility: any EU or international postgraduate student in any subject

      EU and international students may be eligible for one of the following bursaries or merit awards to help fund their studies:

      • Regional Award: £1,000 towards course fees for the first year of study
      • International Merit Award: £1,500 towards course fees for the first year of study for talented students
      • Academic Excellence Award: £5,000 towards course fees for the first year of study for students who have demonstrated academic excellence.

      Please note, that students are only eligible to receive one scholarship award. We assess eligibility and funding amounts on a case by case basis which is dependent on your course, application and country. There is no separate application for these awards; international students should apply for their chosen course through the normal application process. Successful candidates will be notified at the point of offer for a programme of study and the award amount will be deducted from their tuition fees.

    • Santander Scholarships

      Amount: Variable
      Eligibility: Conditions will vary

      Each year Santander Universities offers a variety of scholarships to students at Middlesex University.  This is use to help support students, both from the UK and from the various countries and institutions within the Santander Universidades Network.  The payments can be in the form of either a fee bursary or cash payment, with more details to follow.

    • Sports Scholarships

      Amount: various from £200 to £1,000
      Eligibility: any undergraduate or postgraduate student demonstrating a significant achievement in sport

      If you are competing at a regional or national level in your sport, you could be eligible for support and funding through the Middlesex Sport Scholarship Scheme. This is for talented sports performers, who are keen to continue their sporting endeavours and compete for the University. Three levels of scholarship are available with financial support ranging from £200 to £1000 in any academic year.

      The decision on the level of financial support offered to successful applicants will be made by the Scholarships Committee, whose decision is final. Applications must be supported by a written reference, copies of certificates or other evidence, relevant to sporting achievements.

    • The Textile Alliance Scholarship for Masters in Design

      Amount: covers tuition fees and living expenses
      Eligibility: any first year MA Design student who is a resident of Hong Kong

      This gold standard scholarship allows a high achieving student who is a permanent resident in Hong Kong the opportunity to study full time for a one-year masters programme, in a Design discipline at Middlesex University in London. The student will be assessed on their design skills and ability by our academic staff in London and our Regional Director in Hong Kong. The scholarship will fund tuition fees and living expenses in London for the duration of the programme.

    • The Anglo-Turkish Education Fund Scholarship

      Amount: £1,000
      Eligibility: any Turkish speaking full time student

      Turkish-speaking student demonstrating academic excellence and achievement with a willingness to work with the community. Preference will be given to those training to be teachers, to raise educational achievement among inner city Turkish-speakers and provide positive role models.

      This scholarship is awarded through tutor nomination.
