    Do you know about the many ways we can support you throughout your studies?

    Counselling and Mental Health

    The Counselling & Mental Health team provide mental wellbeing support and a confidential individual counselling service to help you manage any challenges affecting you emotionally or psychologically that you might face while you study with us.

    The Counselling & Mental Health team is made up of counsellors and psychological therapists. We offer:

    • One-to-one counselling/psychological therapy
    • Mental health support and casework
    • Same-day mini appointments
    • Group workshops, addressing such issues as starting university, stress management, overcoming procrastination and psychological blocks to study
    • Referral to other services where appropriate

    Disability and Dyslexia Service

    At Middlesex University we aim to provide an inclusive teaching and learning environment which caters for all students. We aim to provide an inclusive teaching and learning environment which caters for all students. This includes students who disclose:

    • Autistic Spectrum Disorder including Asperger Syndrome
    • Hearing Impairment
    • Medical condition
    • Mobility difficulties, including difficulty writing
    • Ongoing mental health conditions
    • Specific learning difficulties – e.g., dyslexia or dyspraxia
    • Visual impairment

    UniHelp

    UniHelp is your first port of call for general student enquiries. Advisors will be able to refer you to the appropriate specialist team, make an appointment for you to see a specialist or direct you to appropriate workshops or drop-in sessions.

    StudyHub

    Your place for academic support. A range of services are available at StudyHub on the 1st floor of Sheppard Library to assist you with your studies. These include:

    Academic Writing

    Guidance on appropriate use of academic language in your subject.

    Ask a Librarian

    To find the best resources for your studies and reference them correctly.

    IT Support

    Specialist IT staff to help you with computing related queries.

    Student Learning Assistants

    Experienced students who can help you find your own learning style.

    Mathematics and Statistics

    Specialists teaching the maths and numeracy skills you need to succeed.

    Nightline

    Nightline is a student listening service which is open at night and run by students for students. Every night of term, student volunteers answer calls, emails, instant messages, texts and talk in person to their fellow university students about anything that’s troubling them.
