    Resources, guides and information for successful online learning

    There are so many resources at your finger tips to ensure you've got everything you need to successfully study from home. This is not an all encompassing list but gives you a taster and will be regularly updated as and when new resources are made available.

    Issues accessing laptops, computers or the internet

    • If you do not have access to a computer/ laptop, simply raise a ticket or chat online with the UniHelp team who will be able to advise on your options including collecting a laptop from campus.
    • If you are having trouble connecting to the internet or securing a reliable internet connection, please contact and the team will do their best to help you.

    • To make sure that you are comfortable while studying from home, we recommend that you read this good practice guide for using your laptop.

    Learning Enhancement Team (LET)

    • Library Search has now been set to find full-text e-resources first.
    • We are working with Kortext to increase the number of books available to you (available via Library Search). If there are books that would help with your studies please tell us and we will do our best to help via our eBook Suggestions Form

    Library loans

    • While the campus is closed, we have removed the charge for Inter Library Loans
    • All library loans have been extended and are not due for return until Monday 13 July. Library charges will also not apply during the closure period.


    If your project involves anything to do with MoDA's collections, staff are still available to help. Please email and we'll either answer your enquiry or arrange an online tutorial.

    Accessing University Software

    You can access AppsAnywhere on your personal devices, follow the instructions below:

    1. From your web browser type in
    2. If it’s the first time logging in, the AppsAnywhere server will notice that the device does not have the Client
    3. Follow the instructions on screen to carry out the installation of the client

    AppsAnywhere uses a web interface for access to the University’s software applications.

    In addition, the following software is available to download for free to your personal computer:

    To access the tutorial videos, you will need to sign in to LinkedIn Learning by selecting "sign in with your organisation account". You will then be asked to log on via myUniHub.

    Adobe Creative Cloud at-home access

    As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, student access to Adobe Creative Cloud on-campus has been restricted. However, Adobe has provided temporary full at-home access until Sunday 31 May 2020 for impacted students, so you can continue to work remotely from home.

    Read&Write has also provided temp access for students during this pandemic. Find how to download, install and activate Read&Write.
