MDXWorks: Tell your story, shape your career

Get involved

Our aim is to support you in preparing for a world of exciting opportunities when you graduate. We want to ensure that you can confidently step into the next chapter of your career journey, able to fully articulate and evidence your true value and worth to future employers.

We do this via a menu of co-curricular and work-related activities that develop and nurture the new skills for your future.

Keep an eye on our social media channels for updates on our programmes.

Emerging Professional Programme

The Emerging Professional Programme offers a roadmap of flexible, interactive online and face-to-face activities designed to help develop your career readiness and the associated professional skills and attributes sought by employers.

Taking place over 4 weeks, the EPP has dedicated avenues for year 1, year 2, and finalists/graduates, as well as a central pathway for all students, no matter what year group you’re in or subject you study.

This academic year (2020/21) the programme concluded with a paid, 1 week project challenge for a select number of students who have shown suitable commitment over the first 3 weeks (all sessions have been recorded and are available here).

Applications for the summer 2022 sprint will open in June - follow the MDXworks social channels and stay up to date.

The MDXadvantage is an intensive six-month programme for final year undergraduate students. You'll learn how to maximise your employability, boost your confidence in applying for graduate roles, and increase your chances of being selected for preferred roles.

The programme includes a dedicated 1:1 professional mentor for 6 months, alongside a number of exclusive activities, such as graduate employer panels, alumni speed networking, professional hackathons, insight days and employer challenges.

MDXadvantage opens for applications in December, with the programme launching annually in February.

We recognise the value of collaborative experiential learning and we work hard to embed project-based learning initiatives in the University curriculum to help you gain invaluable employability skills and real work experience.

We’re looking at improving your experience further and building the MDXc.e.l programme bigger and bolder than ever. Real clients, with real briefs and deliverables.

The MDXcelerator sprint programme gives you the opportunity to access tailored start-up and entrepreneurship mentoring, meet with inspiring and successful business leaders through our masterclasses and workshops, and potentially take over the world with your awesome idea!

Applications for 2021/22 will open again around December time.

Get in touch at mdxworks@mdx.ac.uk for more information about the programme and how to get started.
