A one-day event focusing on how animals can provide assistance and support.
Come along and learn about the different roles which animals play in our lives to support and assist us in our daily living and activities.
1) Show event with stands in the quad from 10.00 – 15.00:
This is where organisations will present their work and services to those who require support and assistance.
A few attending organisations of note are: Guide Dogs For The Blind, Hearing Dogs For The Deaf, Medical Detection Dogs, Pets As Therapy, Read 2 Dogs, Riding For The Disabled, Cinnamon Trust, PDSA, Cats Protection, Hypo Hounds, Dogs On The Streets Of London, and Assistance Dogs.
This event is combined with an artwork exhibition that includes 2D and 3D works that express children and young adults interpretation and/or meaning of animals in their life. Artworks are achieved by children and young adult from our placement areas (general children’s ward and SEN schools).
2) Class room based information session venue to be confirmed from 16.00 – 17.30:
This is an inter-professional learning session with guest speakers, aimed at people who want to learn more about the different roles which animals play in our lives to support and assist us in our daily living and activities.
This event is free to attend, but those interested should book below.
Guide dogs will be on premises at this event.
