Apprentice candidates design a robot in MDX's Ritterman building

MDX’s Ritterman Building, which opened earlier this year, will be the setting for tonight’s episode of The Apprentice on BBC 1 at 9pm.

With tonight's episode tasking the hopeful candidates with designing a robot, the state-of-the-art facilities at Ritterman were deemed the ideal location by The Apprentice production team.

“We were delighted to collaborate with this popular TV show and it’s a great way to showcase our amazing building and facilities," says Professor Mehmet Karamanoglu, Head of the Design engineering and Maths Department at MDX.

“The production team and contestants spent a day in June filming at the Ritterman. They said our facilities were exactly what they were looking for as they wanted to present a very innovative and exciting environment. A place where tomorrow’s designers and engineers would learn the skills to create for the future.”

The Apprentice is now in its 13th series has around 5 million viewers.
