Middlesex Students Collaborate With Record Label To Raise Money For Muscular Dystrophy UK

11/05/2018
'Music 4 Muscles' live telethon event marked the grand finale of a month-long fund raising efforts to supporting families and individuals living with muscle-wasting conditions

A group of current MDX students collaborated with MDX graduate Matt Annecharico and his company, Dreamscope Media Group, to organise an hour-long charity broadcast full of give-aways and live music in aid of Muscular Dystrophy UK.

In addition to working with external partners, there was a great display of collaboration between departments for the production, which had a crew comprised from individuals across MA Film, BA TVP, BA Film, MDX Works and the Media Foundation.

"It was great to see Film and TV students working so well together," commented Dale Wightman, lecturer and module leader in Studio Production  & Entertainments. "They've all asked to be involved in future productions which is a nice outcome too."

Vice Chancellor Tim Blackman was shown around the studio and donated to the charity fundraiser through its JustGiving page, which has currently raised £370.

The livestream was filmed by crew on site and can be viewed here. It features the studio facilities and MDX Students, as well as the 5 great acts that performed on the broadcast.
