    Student Welfare Advice Resources Available

    The Student Welfare Advice Team (SWAT) is here to help you deal with any financial, practical or legal difficulties you may face during your studies at Middlesex.

    The Student Welfare Advice Team (SWAT) have produced a number of Welfare Guides  intended to support you and offer advice during your studies. These guides cover a variety of different issues, including:

    • Student loans, grants and bursaries including eligibility
    • Fee assessment queries
    • Welfare benefits
    • Debt and money management
    • Student funding and financial support
    • Childcare grants for student parents
    • Disability benefits and Disabled Student Allowance applications
    • Placements and Study Abroad
    • Housing issues
    • Visa applications, extensions and Immigration matters
    • Pregnancy
    • Tax and National Insurance
    • Consumer queries
    • Miscellaneous issues

    SWAT are also available for private consultation and offer personalised advice to students which accommodate your distinct needs.

    We are based in The Sheppard Library and provide a service which is non-judgemental and strictly confidential, which means we will not discuss any of the details of your visit unless you give us permission to do so.

    • Click on the green box in the calendar
    • Select a time that is suitable for you
    • Complete the form asking for your student number
