The MDX Pavilion is a student led project where architectural technology students have designed the structure and specified innovative materials with the help of academics and industry professionals. The Pavilion is to be located adjacent to Portakabins 6&7 opposite the Grove (see location map below).
The construction works will be fully contained in a compound, and will last for 12 weeks. Consequently, the footpath that runs between College Building and Grove Park providing access to the north side of the campus will be temporarily closed from the 18th February to enable the ground works to take place (see the map below). This is likely to be for a period of 4 weeks. During this period, please use alternative access routes via the College Building or MDX House.
Once works are on site signage will be installed to indicate alternative routes of access. In addition, due to the construction works the fire assembly point 6 located outside College Building will be temporarily out of use. In the event of a fire, please use the alternative assembly points located on campus. Safe access to portakabin 6 & 7 will be maintained throughout the works.
On completion of the works. the pavilion will be utilised as an external learning, exhibition and event space.
We understand the temporary inconvenience this may cause, however we will of course aim to minimise any disruption and appreciate your patience during these periods.
