It is hoped that the MDX #BlackLivesMatter Forum, will be the first of many steps taken by the University to both raise awareness as well as kick-start a more frank and open discussion about what needs to change – in particular what we can do to ensure a lasting support and change network for black students and staff across the University.
We invite you to share your thoughts, concerns and suggestions relating to race, based on your experience as part of the MDX community in advance using this form to help guide the discussion next Tuesday.
This form is the start of that discussion - Your contributions will be used to form the conversation topics at the forum, as well as future discussions and actions following the forum.
All staff, students and alumni of Middlesex University are welcome to join the conversation, which will be led by:
Dr Doirean Wilson - Diversity Lead, Director of Studies (DoS) for Doctorate in Professional Studies, HRM Senior Lecturer and Chair of Middlesex University `EDUBATE` panel discussion series)
Professor Kurt Barling – Professor of Journalism, author of The ‘R’ Word
