Mental Health Awareness Week 18-24 May 2020
Mental Health Awareness Week is an annual event hosted by the Mental Health Foundation. Here at #TeamMDX we take this opportunity to celebrate mental health awareness and help break down the stigma. This year in particular, it may be more important than ever to highlight the importance of taking care of our mental health as we face an extended period of uncertainty, isolation and difficulty.
This year’s #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek theme is #KindnessMatters. Kindness is crucial to our mental health as being kind strengthens relationships, builds community and deepens our feeling of belonging - all especially important during this time.
Below you can find a timetable of activities from #TeamMDX available for you to help to mark the occasion, start conversations about mental health and kindness and bring us together, virtually. You can also keep an eye on our social media channels through the week as teams around the University and Student’s Union get involved in creative ways.
You can find more information on wellbeing and mental health support on UniHub and our weekly roundup of the best #TeamMDX wellbeing resources.
If you have any queries or are unable to access the Wellbeing team, please email wellbeing@mdx.ac.uk.
