On campus teaching in January

When it comes to your education, we've got three big priorities – giving you an excellent learning experience, supporting you throughout your studies and keeping you safe.

With the Government guidance around Covid-19 under constant review, it's a challenging time for the whole community. However, you can feel confident that we've got the right plans in place to help you and the rest of #TeamMDX thrive.

There is a national lockdown in the UK during January and February which means that teaching has moved online for all courses with only essential face to face teaching and services on campus.

Monday 4 January 2021Enrolment and online ID check open
Monday 11 - Friday 14 January 2021International Orientation online
Week commencing (w/c) 11 January 2021
All inductions take place online. Some students will have inductions before this and you will be sent details via email if this applies to you.
w/c 18 January 2021All teaching starts online. There may be some essential face to face teaching for a small number of courses. You will receive an email about specific teaching plans for your course.

We plan to start face to face teaching on campus again as soon as it's safe and possible for us to do so. This will happen sometime after the current lockdown ends after mid-February.

University is supposed to be at times, both exciting and challenging. If you face any struggles during your studies – either academic or personal – and find it difficult to keep up with your online or in-person sessions, your Programme Teams will get in touch to help provide support.

Take a look at our Welcome checklist to make sure you're ready to get started.
