    Returning borrowed laptops

    Dear students,

We understand that this is a really concerning time for everyone in our student community and we’re here to provide as much support and advice as we can.

If you have not already done so, you will now need to return the loan laptop you borrowed by 13 July 2020, so that the University can carry out critical updates on them to ensure they continue to work at their best.

If you still require a laptop for your studies – then that’s not a problem. All you need to do is to let us know via the IT Specialists Home page. If you don’t let us know, we’ll assume that you no longer need it and will give the laptop to another student that needs it.

There are three ways you can choose to return your laptop:

    1. You can return the laptop to the security office in the Quad if you are able to do so safely. Please don’t return it to the cabinets. This can be done Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm. Should you wish to return it at the weekend, please contact to arrange for this.
    2. You can also choose to arrange for a courier service to collect the laptop from you. Please contact us via the IT Specialists Home page on UniHub, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm to arrange.
    3. If you live within postcode NW4 or IG11, our post room colleagues can pick up the laptop from you. Please contact us via the IT Specialists Home page, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm to arrange.

Please ignore this if you have already returned your laptop.

Our most important consideration is the health, wellbeing and safety of our students. These updates will allow us to continue to support you and other students to study effectively. Please do let us know if you have any questions.
