If you test positive for Covid-19 at any time in the run up to your exams or during your exam season, ensure that you register your test with the NHS as well as letting the University know. Only tests registered with the NHS within 24 hours of the result may be used as acceptable evidence for extenuating circumstances. [Information correct as of 08/03/22]. If you have a diagnosed health condition (including mental health) or disability, register with the Disability and Dyslexia Service to ensure that you have the right support in place to excel in your exams.
Counselling and Mental Health are here to offer you guidance and orientation on emotional wellbeing and mental health.
If you do find yourself in a crisis though, there is always somebody to listen. Find external services and links on UniHub.
To speak to a member of the team either in person or online within 1-3 business days, refer yourself for a One-Off Appointment. Counselling and Mental Health also offer a number of groups and workshops to support you throughout the academic year, and in the run up to exams.
There might be other support which you can access more promptly, including if you are a student oversees, or a student living in Optivo halls of residence. If you think you might need support, it’s always best to reach out as soon as possible ahead of exams.
