Dr Gina Awoko Higginbottom

Dr Gina Awoko Higginbottom is a distinguished professor and award winning academic, consultant and researcher. Her career as a nurse, midwife and health visitor spans 22 years and in 1998 she was awarded an MBE for services to young people and Health Promotion. She is Emeritus Professor of Ethnicity and Health at the University of Nottingham and Co-Converner of the International Collaboration for Community Health Nursing Research (ICCHNR).

She specialises in ethnicity and health, and was the first woman of BAME origin to hold a Canada Research role and a professional role in a UK Russell Group University.

There will be a Q&A at the end for students to put forward any sensitive questions or issues they would like to share or discuss.
