The Battle of Ideas festival returns for another weekend of lively debate and discussion on the most pressing political, cultural and artistic issues. As ever, the weekend will tackle tough contemporary questions through wide-ranging, thought-provoking and wonderfully argumentative debate. So, if you are intellectually curious and interested in the world around you, do join us for a weekend of high-level, thought-provoking public debate.

This year’s festival features more than 400 internationally acclaimed speakers, over 3,000 attendees, and over 100 panels covering issues such as: ‘What’s behind today’s anti-establishment revolt?’, ‘The F Word: What’s the point of feminism today?’, ‘Navigating the new political disruption’, and many more.

Coming at a crucial time for politics and society, the Battle of Ideas is the forum to get to grips with the current political maelstrom. When the world seems more divided than ever, the festival will be a living example of the importance of frank, serious but respectful public debate.

The festival slogan is FREE SPEECH ALLOWED, an antidote to today’s climate of offence taking, and we look forward to welcoming you to the festival!
