    Come and Join us for an evening of sipping on your favourite drink whilst painting a masterpiece of your own!

    It doesn’t matter if you haven’t picked up a paintbrush since school...
    The evening will be an unforgettable event, filled with laughter, drinks, snacks, fun and a whole lot of paint!

Middlesex University's annual careers and employment festival, Gradstock, is back! This year, we're thrilled to offer ALL MDX students and graduates the opportunity to engage with over 70 employers and esteemed guests from various sectors. It's not just a traditional careers fair; it's an experience designed to elevate your career prospects.
Join us on-campus across the Quad and the Grove Atrium. Expect student and alumni networking, an entrepreneur's corner,
live performances, prize draws, LinkedIn photo booths, and so much
more.

  • Speakers Corner | Monday 9, 16, 23, 30 October and Monday 6, 13 November | 2pm to 4pm | Quad, College Building

    Calling all students who want to have fun sharing their thoughts, issues and challenges with a mic in hand!

    The student event is based on the iconic Hyde Park London space - where passers-by can drop along and sound out about their concerns and views. This can include anything on their mind impacting their lives …from racism to the cost of living.

    The event is:

    - An exciting opportunity for you as a student to develop your public speaking

    - Opportunity to hear other students issues and learn from their experiences

Professor Stephen Barber: Economy, Politics and Life: What the coming fourth industrial revolution will mean for all of us? | Tuesday 10 October | 6pm to 7.30pm | Online

Professor Stephen Barber, Regent's University London joins us to give a Distinguished Lecture. Stephen is perhaps best known for two strands of academic work around the deficiencies in the policymaking process and the global economic environment. He has published books and articles in both areas, and lectured around the ‘Brexit environment’ and Westminster governance. This research has supported contributions to numerous official inquiries, and Stephen has appeared as an expert witness before a Commons Select Committee.

  • Sport, Wellbeing and Support Events

  • Try something new with Learn It! Love It!

    Want to try something new? Keen to master another sport? Join our ‘Learn it . Love it’ programme and learn a sport from the very beginning. You can choose from a variety of activities  designed to teach you the basics, and get coaching from an instructor to help you improve your skills. From from volleyball to salsa dancing there's something for everyone!

  • Free taster sessions at the start of term!

    Join in our free activities on offer this academic term, happening from 18 September to 6 October. The sessions are a great way to get active, have some fun and meet new people.  To take part in our free sessions simply register for each of the activities you want to participate in, at The Fitness Pod reception in MDX House. All equipment is provided, just come along with suitable clothing and footwear. Over 50 FREE sessions on offer!

  • Free Bike Hire | Mondays | 9am to 9pm

    MDX Freewheelers cycle loan scheme is open to all students and staff at Middlesex University, with free bicycles available for hire on ½, 1 and 3 day loan periods. Bike loans can be extended by phoning the Fitness Pod reception (provided they have not already been pre-booked by another user). Our bikes are free* to use and are a great way to get around, stay healthy and build up those MDXMoves points! You will be required to pay an initial registration free to be a member of the scheme of £25 (which is refundable when you graduate or if a staff member, when you leave).

  • Middlesex University Music: Choirs and Ensembles | Monday 2 October to Friday 22 March | On campus

    Calling all musicians! You are warmly invited to join one of the music department's choirs and ensembles. Whether you're an experienced musician looking to hone performances with an ensemble/choir or you have no experience of singing and are looking for a fun, social activity there is a place for you.

  • Outdoor adventures - Downhill Mountain Biking | Friday 13 October to Saturday 14 October 2023

    Fancy a little bit of an adventure? Try Downhill Mountain Biking at Bike Park Wales, with overnight stay at YHA Dannywenalt in Brecon Beacons. Free minibus transportation from and to campus, and shared accommodation is also included in the price. Register by 6 October. Suitable for all levels. Email t.hannan@mdx.ac.uk
