MDX nominated for two 'WhatUni Student Choice' awards

13/04/2015
Over the past 12 months more than 20,000 students across the UK have cast their opinions for this year's Whatuni Student Rankings. The rankings offer students an unbiased, student-led alternative to traditional university ranking systems.

This year, 20,000 reviews were counted; 111 universities met the minimum threshold to be considered for a Student Choice Award; and 39 universities received a nomination.

Thanks to you and your fellow students, Middlesex has been nominated in two categories: Student Support and Uni Facilities.

The Whatuni Student Rankings are based on averages taken from thousands of reviews submitted by students and published on the Whatuni website, and cover the following nine categories: Accommodation, City Life, Clubs & Societies, Course & Lecturers, Job Prospects, Student Support, Student Union, Uni Facilities, and an overall rating which counts towards the title of 'University of the Year'.

The official 2015 Whatuni Student Rankings will be announced on Thursday 23 April at a ceremony in London. You can follow all the action on the night with the hashtag #WUSCA.

Nick Bevan Director of Library and Student Support at Middlesex said: "We are extremely pleased to be shortlisted for the Student Support award. The nomination is a reflection of how positive our students feel about the support that is offered to them throughout their time at Middlesex."

Speaking about our Uni Facilities nomination, Lorraine Sexton Head of Facilities said: "A number of teams work together seven days a week to ensure that the University runs smoothly on a daily basis. This nomination is fantastic news and we are very pleased to hear that our students have taken the time to show their appreciation for the work that we all do to ensure they have great University experience."

Simon Emmett, Managing Director Whatuni.com, added: "For prospective students, being able to hear first-hand about the quality of education and realistic expectations for life at uni is an invaluable resource when making a decision to pursue degree-level studies. Our hope is that the student university rankings contribute to the research and preparation required for each student to choose the right university for them."
