There are four spaces behind the Library for blue badge holders. Blue badge holders regularly needing to park on site must register with DDS who will seek agreement from Estates.
There are two entrances to the Sheppard Library: the main entrance at the front of the building, via the Scholars’ Yard; or from the car park by the Circle Café, with a lift to the ground floor entrance. There is an accessible gate into the library, requiring an ID card. All open access areas are wheelchair-accessible.

There is also a lift in the Library foyer, to the left as you pass through the entrance. This provides access to all floors, and has Braille signage and voice announcements.
There are accessible toilets in the wing on the ground, 1st and 2nd floors of the library, including a separate toilet with facilities for disabled students. The ground floor toilet has radar key access.
