    Improving online student services

    Each year Middlesex University updates myUniHub, MDXapp and the Student Records System to improve the functionality and performance of the University’s online student services.

    As a result of this it is now important and good practice to regularly maintain the operating system on which the above services runs to ensure:

    • The system is regularly maintained to fix any bugs to improve the health of the system for students
    • The system is secure on and off campus at all times
    • The system has the best & timely support from the vendor for any issues that occur

    In order for us to introduce these improvements there will be annual disruption to our existing services. We will work hard to ensure this disruption is kept to a minimum and will keep you updated as this work takes place.

    Disruption to services will occur as follows:



    myUniHub unavailable

    • Monday 9 March, 10pm to 1am Tuesday 10 March (UK time) - Completed
    • Thursday 19 March, 6pm to 1am Friday 19 March  (UK time) - Completed
    • Friday 27 March 2020, 12pm – 5pm (UK Time) - Completed
    • Saturday 25 July 2020, 5am – 1pm (UK Time) - Completed
    • Friday 27 November 2020, 12pm – 5pm (UK Time)

    myUniHub will be unavailable on the dates above due to essential system maintenance. During this time, there will be no access for students to any part of myUniHub including My Learning.

    The University Student Records System will be unavailable on the dates above and as a result, various links in myUniHub will be inaccessible. Portlets affected include, but are not restricted to:

    • Enrol Here
    • My Status
    • My Fees and Finances
    • My Timetable

    Please note that this does NOT affect your ability to login to myUniHub and access your e-learning resources via the My Learning portlet.

    MDXapp is being updated on the above dates. You will still be able to access MDXapp during this time although certain tiles may be affected.


    The above work is taking place at times which avoids disruption during the May exam period. Further information about any disruption during the above months will be displayed on UniHub Systems Status page, System Status portlet in myUniHub, Library social media and on screens around the Hendon Campus.
