Over 90% of employees work for businesses that have less than 15 employees. And the number of people who are becoming self-employed is growing. Here is a workshop that gives you an insight to how small businesses function. So whether you are working for a small business and want to improve your prospects as an employee, or start a business this workshop gives you the insight to what it is all about.
This workshop will cover the topics you need to consider when becoming self-employed. We aim to answer some of the following questions: 'How and when do I register self-employed?; What financial help will I get when I first start?; What are the tax implications of two jobs?; When do I have to register for VAT?; Do I need an accountant?; What employment laws for hiring?; Do I need a separate bank account?. The session is flexible and will give you the opportunity to ask questions about starting out.
