    Be Shisha Aware

Tell Barnet Council your thoughts on shisha and have a chance to win a month’s free gym membership!

Do you think shisha is the healthy alternative to smoking cigarettes? Think again - this common misconception is a something which Barnet Council is working to banish. Shisha smoking is not safe and, just like cigarettes, can give you cancer. Even if you smoke tobacco-free shisha, you’re still at risk from the carbon monoxide and toxins in the coal or charcoal used.

To be in with a chance of winning a month’s free gym membership (including gym access, swimming and classes), Barnet Council want to know what you think of shisha smoking and are asking all students to visit to complete a short online survey. By completing the survey and providing your contact details you will be eligible to win a month’s free membership with the borough’s GLL gyms.

By visiting the dedicated myth busting page, you can also find out more about the dangers of smoking shisha, including the fact that the water in the shisha pipe does not filter out harmful chemicals.
