Summer Fitness Challenge 2017 . Registration opens 1st June. All staff and students are invited to participate in this European University health and wellbeing fitness challenge over the summer.
The new Summer Fitness Challenge runs for 13 weeks from 1 June to 31 August 2017 and promotes health and wellbeing by encouraging participation in physical activity. There will be organised activities to help you get more active, and prizes to keep you motivated along the way.
How to register
You are invited to sign up to the online portal and to log your achievements. There will be a long list of activities to choose from. Simply log your activity, the minutes and the level of intensity, and you are awarded points. Registration will open from 1st June 2017. Register online at http://www.active-summer.vu.lt/
More about teams and competition
This year the challenge will enable individuals to track and log their personal achievements. You can compete against your colleagues in your department/ building and across the university as you can monitor all participants’ activity on a leader board. You will also, in turn be logging overall activity points for your department and for Middlesex University who will be competing against 10 other universities in Europe.
You can register and assign yourself to one of the following teams:

* Beaufort Park / Farmside / buildings 9/10/ Sunny Hill House
Universities from across Europe will be competing in the challenge including: Trento University; Kaunas University of Technology; Klaipėda University; Lithuanian Sports University; Leicester University - Mykolas Romeris University; Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences; Vilnius Gediminas Technical University; Vilnius University and Vytautas Magnus University. Registration opens from 1st June 2017 .
