There is still plenty of time to register for the Active Summer Challenge at Middlesex University which started on 1st June and runs until 31 August 2017. Participants can backdate all of their activity from 1st June, so join anytime. You don’t need to be a gym freak to take part. Activities such as walking, doing the housework and gardening are listed, so everyone should be able to take part and get active this summer! You can register at http://www.active-summer.vu.lt .
The challenge encourages participants to get active and log their activity on the online portal. The system calculates your score and allows you to keep track of your personal achievements as well as placing you on a leader board within your department, allowing you to compete against your colleagues. Furthermore your points also count towards your team’s total (your team is your building). So far we have Colinhurst house out in front, with hotly contested 2nd and third places between Fenella, Colindeep Sheppard Library and College Building. Other teams are also making their way up the leader board. Middlesex University are one of 10 Universities competing in the challenge to help encourage a more active summer for their students and staff. Middlesex University are currently 3rd place on the leader board, but more impressively in front of Vilnius University in Lithuania who initiated the challenge. Sign up today and start logging those points and help Middlesex have a #ActiveSummer . Where will your team place?
