Information on guest tickets, extra tickets and refunds.

  • Guest Tickets

    • How Many Tickets Can I Have?

Graduates can book two guest tickets at £30 each by the deadline of 4pm on 10th June. Tickets are not transferable to future ceremonies and tickets can be cancelled online up to 4pm on 24th June. No refunds are offered after this date for graduates or guests that do not turn up on the day of the ceremony.

    • Do Children Need a Ticket?

Children aged 6 and over are allowed into the ceremony, but you must purchase a ticket for them to attend.  Children aged five and under and other guests without a ticket are able to watch via the lecture theatres in CG76 and CG77. We reserve the right to refuse admission to children we believe to be under the age of six even if they have a ticket.  Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

    • How do I get my tickets?

Tickets can be collected from registration in the Grove Atrium on the day of your ceremony. You must bring photo ID and your confirmation email as proof of your registration to collect your tickets. Lost tickets will not be replaced or reimbursed.

    • Refunds

Refunds on guest tickets can be made up to 4pm on 24th June  by going on-line and cancelling your booking. After this date refunds can not be made if you decide not to attend.

Refunds can not be made if your guests do not turn up or can not make the ceremony. If you or your guest requires a visa and the visa is refused you must cancel your tickets online by 4pm on 24th June.

If you are ill on the day of your ceremony and can provide medical evidence a refund may be made in exceptional circumstances. Please contact the graduation office for further instructions by 22nd July.  We will not offer refunds after this date.

    • Will I be seated with my guests?

Graduates and graduates sit separately and will be shown to your seat by a marshal.

    • One of my guests has a disability – can you accommodate them?

At the time of registration you will be asked whether you have any special requirements that we should be made aware of. Please give as much information as possible so that arrangements can be made for you or your guest.

    • Can I have extra tickets and how much are they?

Extra tickets, if available, go on sale from 10am on 20th June until 4pm on 24th June or until they run out if this is earlier.  Extra tickets are only available to students who registered their attendance at the ceremony by the deadline of 10th June.  We can not give any guarantees that we are able to offer extra tickets to any graduate.

    • How do I apply for extra tickets?

Full details of how to apply for extra tickets will be emailed to students who have registered by the deadline of 10th June.

    • Can I get extra tickets on the day of my ceremony?

Any tickets we have left over after extra ticket sales close are available on a first come first served basis from the ticket sales desk in the Grove Atrium once doors open for the ceremony in question.

    • Can guests without tickets attend?

Guests who do not have tickets into the ceremony can watch from the video link in CG76 and CG77.
