Information on guest tickets, extra tickets and refunds.

    • Guest Tickets

      • How Many Tickets Can I Have?

Two guest tickets at £30 each can be booked by the deadline of Friday 30th November. Tickets are not transferable to future ceremonies and tickets can be cancelled online up to 4pm on Friday 7th December .  No refunds are offered after this date for graduates or guests that do not turn up on the day of the ceremony. Extra tickets go on sale on Monday 3rd December and end at 4pm on Friday 7th December or until they run out, whichever is earlier.

There are no extra guest tickets available for the 3.30pm ceremony.

      • Do Children Need a Ticket?

Children and babies aged 5 years and under are unfortunately not permitted into the Grand Hall where the ceremonies take place and alternative arrangements must be made for them.  Children aged 6 and over need their own seat in the ceremony. If you arrive with a child under the age of 6 and are unable to use your guest ticket we will not offer a refund. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.  Please be aware that if you are bringing children in pushchairs the building is situated over 6 floors.

      • How do I get my tickets?

Tickets can be collected from registration in the Westminster Foyer on the Lower Ground Floor on the day of your ceremony. You must bring photo ID and your confirmation email as proof of your registration to collect your tickets. Lost tickets will not be replaced or reimbursed.

      • Refunds

Refunds on guest tickets can be made up to 4pm on 7th December by going on-line and cancelling your booking. After this date refunds can not be made if you decide not to attend.

Refunds can not be made if your guests do not turn up or can not make the ceremony. If you or your guest requires a visa and the visa is refused you must cancel your tickets online by 4pm on 7th December.

If you are ill on the day of your ceremony and can provide medical evidence a refund may be made in exceptional circumstances. Please contact the graduation office for further instructions by 21st December.  We will not offer refunds after this date.

      • Will I be seated with my guests?

Graduates sit separately to their guest(s) and will be shown to their seat by a marshal. Guests with disabilities will have reserved seating provided we are notified of the request at the time of registration.

      • One of my guests has a disability – can you accommodate them?

At the time of registration you will be asked whether you have any special requirements that we should be made aware of. Please give as much information as possible and we will try and accommodate your request.

      • Can I have extra tickets and how much are they?

Extra tickets are available on a first come first served basis from 1pm on 3rd December until 4pm on 7th December or until they run out, whichever is earlier. The number available may vary from ceremony to ceremony.  Extra tickets cost £30 each.  If you did not register to attend the ceremonies by the deadline of 30th November you will be unable to access any extra tickets we may have.

There are no extra guest tickets available for the 3.30pm ceremony

      • How do I apply for extra tickets?

If we have any extra tickets they will be available on a first come first served basis for £30 each from 1pm on 3rd December by logging back into the registration pages at www.gownhire.co.uk.  There are no extra tickets available for the 3.30pm ceremony.

      • Can I get extra tickets on the day of my ceremony?

If we have any tickets left these will be available to purchase from registration in the Westminster Foyer on the Lower Ground Floor on the day of your ceremony only. We are a cashless university and only accept card payments.

There are no extra tickets available for the 3.30pm ceremony.
