Every University in the country will look to take part in the Row Britannia Challenge, a sector-wide, inclusive challenge to raise awareness and funds for student mental health throughout the UK. The challenge is an 8 week challenge running from 16 Jan - 13 March 2020. We have until then to reach our target!
1- Take part as an individual and set your own targets to help us reach our goal of 2020 miles
2- take part in the organised Individual challenges
-Bronze Challenge: 80km in total. (over the 8 weeks, equates to 2km per day/ 5 days a week)
-Silver Challenge: 140km in total. (over the 8 weeks, equates to 3.5km per day/ 5 days a week)
- Gold Challenge: 200km in total. (over the 8 weeks, equates to 5km per day/ 5 days a week)
3- Team Challenge
In a Team of 5, row a total of 400km. (over the 8 weeks, equates to 2km per day each/ 5 days a week)
4- Join in our 24 hour Row-A-Thon on 5-6 March 2020 on campus!
Row Club at the Fitness Pod We are also offering participants ta Rowing Club class at Ther Fitness Pod. Classes are instructor led and will help with improving technique, and stamina. If you would like to take part viti our class page for more information and booking.

Sport & Recreation team up with major event organisers to give our students and staff the opportunity to be event marshals at some mass participation running events in the capital.
We are currently looking for volunteers to join the team, to help out at the following events:
Both events involve early starts from campus, where we leave at 5.45am prompt. Responsibilities may include keeping control of the crowds, directing runners, providing information to the public. Refreshments are provided, as well as event merchandise (sportswear), and return transport from campus.

Our fun filled camps encourage children to participate in a range of sports activities, as well as arts & crafts. All activities are facilitated by qualified, experienced instructors and coaches. Prices are £25 per child per day or £110 for a 5 day week or £90 for the 4 day easter week. (We are closed on Bank Holidays). Suitable for children ages 5-11.
