    Fitness Pod

    The Fitness Pod is our fitness facility right here on campus, located on the lower ground floor of MDX House.

    Welcome to The Fitness Pod

    The Fitness Pod will be reopening on Saturday 25/7/20

    The Fitness Pod will be reopening in line with governement advice on safe use of gym facilities. We have drafted a  new set of operating proceedures in order to provide a safe environment for our members and staff. Members will be required to pre book their training time slot via the Fitness Pod app. In order you log in to the app your Login In details are as follows:

    • Username: your email address
    • Password, Date of Birth - DDMMYYYY

    Should you have any difficulty with downloading or operation the app please don’t hesitate to contact us by phoning the fitness pod reception 020 8411 6343.

    Opening times

    We're open 7 days a week with late closing to make sure you have time to fit in a workout or a class. Please note you must pre book your visit via the Fitness Pod app. You will not be permitted entry otherwise.

    • Monday to Friday: 7.00am - 9.00pm
    • Saturday and Sunday: 9.00am to 5.00pm

    There is no joining fee, no contract and no hassle memberships. We have a number of membership options available from as little as £12 per month.

    • Inductions, checks and personal training

    Fitness induction

    Once you become a member of our Fitness Pod, you have the option to undertake a 20 minute fitness induction. A qualified instructor will show you around the facilities, how use the equipment safely, and how to warm up and cool down.

    If you're an experienced gym user, you can sign a waiver and start using the facilities straight away.

    Health check

    A qualified instructor will undertake your individual health check and provide you with feedback on your current level of fitness.

    The consultation covers individual medical and exercise history, fitness goals, lifestyle factors and exercise preferences as well as a variety of tests including blood pressure, body fat, cholesterol, BMI, waist to hip ratio, BMR & daily calorie needs. The results will be discussed with you as well as the recommendations made.

    We offer an hour health check for just £25. Email our Fitness Pod team or call 020 8411 6343 to book your appointment.

    Personalised programmes

    If you choose to become an annual member, you'll also receive a personalised programme to help you make the most of your membership. This will be tailored to your requirements and developed to enable you to achieve weight loss, increase strength, help rehabilitation, support specific sport performance and much more.

    Your first programme session is free when you join as a member. Each following session is £10. The sessions are available by appointment only so please email our Fitness Pod team or call 020 8411 6343 to book.

    Personal training

    Achieve your goals in half the time with our experienced personal trainers.

    You'll receive expert guidance on a one-to-one basis, with plenty of encouragement to motivate you and maximise the benefits from your workout. Whether you want to lose weight, shape and tone or build muscle, we can help you achieve it.

    Special introductory offer

    We're offering a great offer for personal training where you can receive your first session for just £15, then £35 per one hour session going forward. Or, you can schedule 10 sessions for £300, saving you £50.

    Exercise classes

    We are currently unable to offer an exercise class programme. However we do run weekly live Zoom workout sessions including Yoga, Floor barre, Circuits and Zumba. These can be accessed via our weekly e:newsletter
