Staying active whilst at home

We hope you are all staying safe and well. Here's a helpful article to help you stay active until things get back to normal. We are currently running some live Z~OOM workout classes including Yoga, Floor Barre, Circuits and Zumba. To take part simply download our latest newsletter which details log in information.

Classes currently arent available on site. However you will need to book your gym session using the Fitness Pod app.

Life Skills Series: Find a physical activity you enjoy

The Life Skills Series are a series of events designed to support you with the skills you will need to self-care through university and beyond. Finding a physical activity you enjoy is an important life skill because you are more likely to get into and remain in a physical activity routine if you enjoy what you are doing! Below are a number of choices for different activities to try in our wekly online live class timetable. For other Life Skills Series events, check out the events listings.

    Our Give it a Go activities are designed to introduce you to exciting new sports you may never have had the opportunity to try before.

    You can expect things like fencing, tag rugby, boxing and much more. Activities are run from September to April.

  • Free activities (currently not running)

    Throughout the year, we run a variety of social, turn up and play, sport sessions on campus including football, soccer, rounders and basketball.

    We also host less formal activities like jogging, swimming and table tennis.

    All activities are completely free, open to everyone and all equipment is provided; simply turn up and play.

  • Organise your own games

    If you want to plan your own games with friends, you can simply book a court, equipment or pitch and get started.

    We have three Multi Activity Courts (MAC's), a floodlit 3G pitch and a bouldering wall on campus allowing you to play a variety of sports from tennis, badminton, basketball, netball, 5-a-side football and cricket.

    We have a wide range of sports teams you can join. All sports are open to both men and woman with all levels of ability welcome.
