Focus your studies your way by tailoring your degree to your subject interests
Optional modules gives you the opportunity to focus on the subject areas you're most interested in meaning you can ensure you get the skills and knowledge to help you in your future career.
If you'd like to discuss your choices before making your decision, speak to the individual module leader. Module leaders and their contact details can be found in the programme handbook and in your programme area of MyLearning within MyUniHub.
We recommend reading the module descriptions of each module to help with your choice as they have further details of the aims, learning outcomes, syllabus and assessment components. They can be found in your programme handbook towards the back. Check our step by step guide on how to do this.
If you're planning to do a placement, you should select your options and tick the box at the bottom of the form to indicate that you are interested in doing a placement. You will be contacted by the Employability team to discuss you request.
If you don't manage to find a placement, the modules you select will be on your record for next academic year.
The following students will be not be required to complete the form:
Please complete the Module Registration Form as soon as possible to ensure you get the modules you want; class sizes are limited and modules can reach their capacity quickly.
Once submitted, you'll be informed via email once the module(s) you have selected have been registered on your profile. In some cases your choices may result in a timetable clash. We will try to resolve this but you may be required to choose another option.
If you change your mind, you can simply submit another form, in the same way as you did the first time, and your record will be amended.
For any technical issues on completing the online form or other queries relating to your programme, please submit an online query.
