Due to COVID-19, we have had to close the majority of our face to face services on campus. However, we have increased our online support available to ensure you continue to have access to our vital services during this difficult time.

Our Student Fees and Finance team can help you before and during your time at MDX on a wide range of finance issues and queries.

Want to understand your payment deadlines and pay your tuition fees? Looking to pay for a service or withdraw from your course? Our dedicated Fees and Payment section will take you through everything you need to know about money at MDX.

Our Student Financial Support team

Our Student Financial Support Team work with the Student Loan Company (SLC) to ensure you have payments of both maintenance and tuition fee support.

We also ensure that Student Finance England (or the appropriate funding body for students living in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland) has your correct course, year of study, mode of study and fee charge details.

In addition, we administer the Student Support Fund, Scholarships and Bursaries and arrange payments for PGCE bursary, Erasmus grants and studentships.

Our Student Welfare Advice Team

Our Student Welfare Advice Team (SWAT) is here to help you deal with any financial, practical or legal difficulties you may face during your studies at MDX.

We can help you with a range of issues, including:

  • Student loans, grants and bursaries
  • Fee assessments queries
  • Welfare benefits
  • Debt and money management
  • Housing issues
  • Consumer queries
  • Miscellaneous issues

We're available for private consultation and offer personalised advice which can accommodate your individual needs. We provide a  non-judgemental and strictly confidential services, which means we will not discuss any of the details of your visit unless you give us permission to do so.

SWAT produces information leaflets which cover key areas relevant to you called Welfare Advice Guides. We recommend you reading through these guides as you may find the answer to your question, saving you time and worry.
