If you are a parent studying at university, your concerns are likely to be childcare arrangements, juggling this with academic commitments and funding arrangements for you and your children.
The nursery at Middlesex University provides early years education and full day-care for children aged six weeks to five years. This allows staff and students to successfully combine work or academic study with parenthood. The nursery provides a principled approach to young children's care and education, with an emphasis on parental involvement and collaborative working.
The nursery is staffed by highly qualified and experienced early years practitioners. The workforce at Middlesex University's nursery recognises that each child is a competent learner from birth who can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured. We are committed to focusing on children's well-being, development, inclusion and health and safety.
We operate a key person approach to ensure positive relationships enable children to be strong and independent from a base of loving and secure relationships with parents and a key person. Our commitments are focused around respect, partnership with parents and supporting learning. We provide an environment that enables learning; we share our observations with parents to plan for individual children with activities that stimulate curiosity and support their development.
We are governed and inspected by Ofsted.
Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Parents are welcome to come and visit the service and talk to staff.
Our core opening hours are 9am to 5pm for children aged 0-5 years. To contact the nursery directly, call +44 (0)20 8411 6032.
