MDX and Great Ormond Street Hospital announce new partnership to support career development for paediatric healthcare professionals

We are delighted to announce a new partnership between Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Learning Academy and Middlesex University supporting academic education and career development for paediatric healthcare professionals.

Our new programmes and modules are designed to enable learners to tailor their education to individual areas of specialism such as cancer or intensive care, with modules available such as ‘Paediatric Intensive Care Nursing’ and ‘Care of children and young people with cancer’, while ensuring qualifications are highly applicable to their role and organisation. Offered from graduate to master’s level, our academic awards and qualifications aim to empower learners to take the next step in their career within a chosen speciality or Advancing Practice.

Lynn Shields, Director of Education at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH), said: “Education underpins everything we do here at GOSH.  Our collaboration with Middlesex University gives us a unique opportunity to directly influence paediatric healthcare nationally, by sharing our knowledge and expertise through outstanding, targeted educational programmes."
