We have developed this service with Convera to enable International students to pay their fees by bank transfer.
The benefits of the Convera service is that it will enable you to see the exact cost of your payment in your local currency, and the quote given will be honoured for a period of 72 hours.
In addition, this method of payment is easier and cheaper than ordering a bankers draft from your bank. The payment will also reach Middlesex University more quickly. Middlesex University no longer accepts bankers drafts as a method of payment.
We would advise that you contact Convera Student Support by calling 01733 871 871.
If you use your bank to make the payment directly to Middlesex University, your bank is likely to send an International payment without you knowing what the rate of exchange is. This may not only cost you more, but is also likely to result in unforeseen additional bank charges.
By using Global Pay for students, you are assured of a guaranteed rate of exchange you can access before you make your payment. This will be fixed for 72 hours. You can also be sure that Middlesex University will receive your tuition fees in full.
No, if you select to pay via card, e-wallet (such as Alipay, WeChatPay) or through your online banking, then you will not need to provide any bank details.
If you select to pay by bank transfer then you only need the local bank details that will be provided to you on the PDF quote through the Convera service.
Convera hold the Bank details for Middlesex University and payments will be allocated accordingly using individual student ID numbers.
It is imperative that you send your fee amount to the Convera bank account details that are provided to you, in the currency stated on the payment instructions.
Make sure that your bank quotes the reference number you have been given in the PDF. This ensures your tuition fee is easily identifiable by Middlesex University and that the application of the payment to your student account does not incur any delay.
This service can be used by any category of student e.g. International or EU/UK.
You can pay for Tuition, Accommodation or Pre-sessional using this service.
At Middlesex University, we strive to provide flexible payment options for all our students. However, we understand that external factors such as international sanctions may sometimes pose challenges to certain students who wish to pay via Convera. Therefore, we remind affected students that they can still pay their tuition fees using a debit or credit card via our convenient and secure applicant portal or automated telephone payment service line: +44(0) 208 411 6400.

Please note that documentary evidence to support your request will be required before it can be considered. Please have this information to hand when contacting us.
If you fail to pay your tuition fees or provide confirmation of sponsorship, you will be deregistered (e.g. you will be withdrawn from the university) at the end of learning week four and the option to pay via an instalment plan will no longer be available.
Failing to pay the second or any subsequent payment instalments by your due date, will also result in deregistration.
If you have been deregistered, you must pay the annual tuition fee in full plus a late payment charge of £200 in order to be re-instated. You will also not be permitted to re-enrol until your tuition fees have been paid.
If you are withdrawn from your course due to non-payment of fees, the University is obliged to inform the UKVI to action Withdrawal of Tier 4 sponsorship.
Restrictions will be applied to your account automatically if you have any non-tuition fee debts.
The Regional Award, allocated by our regional offices, grants you a tuition fee discount that is deducted from your second instalment payment.
They are awarded on a case-by-case basis at the point of offer and if you're eligible, you will be informed in your offer letter.
We endeavour to process all Regional Awards by the end of Learning week 3. If it has not been applied by then, please contact our team.
If an employer or organisation is paying your tuition fees, you will need to provide evidence of this in writing in line with the payment deadlines.
Please submit the following information on a purchase order or letter on official letter-headed paper to the Student Fees and Finance team via UniHelp.
We do not accept sponsor letters from UK public sector organisations without a valid Purchase Order number quoted
We reserve the right to reject sponsorship purchase orders or letters if they are not original documents, do not contain the correct information, or if they are found not to be issued by a recognisable third party organisation.
All invoices issued by Middlesex University must be settled in full within 30 days. If invoices are not paid in accordance with these terms the debt will revert to you, the student.
Please note that if your fees are being paid by a relative, friend or a government funding body (e.g. Student Finance England), this is not considered as a formal sponsorship by the University. In this instance, you will be regarded as self-financing.
If you would like to explore alternative funding options, please visit our International finance page.
