Making Friends and building communities

Criminology and Sociology Society member

Join a society on campus

Societies are groups or clubs of students sharing interests or hobbies. Joining a society is an amazing opportunity to try something new, develop your interests, enhance your degree and discover lifelong friendships. There are over 70 societies available and they range from general interest societies to religious and course-based groups.

Start your own society

Do you feel the Students' Union are missing something from their society list or you'd like to set up something new? MDXSU will give you all the support you need. Check out how you can access support to lead your own society.

Join a student movement

The MDXSU's Liberation Groups are students that come together to network, share experiences and campaign for change focusing on students who face oppression and discrimination and are often underrepresented and disadvantaged during their time at University. There are four Liberation Groups on campus, for women, disabled, black, and LGBT students.
