Professor Tim Blackman joins Middlesex University today (Wednesday 1 July) as the new Vice-Chancellor.

Speaking on his first day, Professor Blackman said: "I am extremely proud to be leading such a dynamic and diverse university, with students from all walks of life. I have long admired Middlesex University for its real world research and teaching excellence."

Professor Blackman joins Middlesex from The Open University where he was Acting Vice-Chancellor and previously Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research and Quality.

My intention is to engage in as much dialogue as I can with students, staff and alumni in building a strong voice for the University within London and internationally."
