    University sports teams

Play for a Middlesex University sports team / compete for Middlesex

If you would like to play for one of our teams or represent the University in competition as an individual athlete, then the first step is to come along to a training session or make contact with the competitive sports office located on the ground floor of MDX House. Contact the team on 020 8411 4651 or email S.Sipple@mdx.ac.uk.

We enter our teams into a range of student leagues and competitions as well as open events and championships. All sports are open to both male and female participants (unless otherwise stated). If you're a sports star then let us know, you may be eligible for a scholarship or similar.

All levels of ability are welcome and no previous experience is necessary!

    Training at outside venues

Sessions marked as 'External' indicate the sessions takes place off campus. The sports department run a free minibus service to and from sports training where we use external facilities. If you would like to attend a training session listed, please visit the sports office on ground floor of MDX House to book your place on the minibus.

    Being Responsible

We recognise that for some students in social gatherings, the consumption of alcohol is an expected and enjoyable element to proceedings, however we also appreciate that this is not the case for many students. We are also mindful of the harm and health damage that alcohol misuse can cause, and we are committed to providing sports captains with appropriate knowledge on the potential harm this may have. For more information please read our Initiations Policy.

Why not try our Give it a Go or Move It sessions for recreational activities?

If you decide playing competitive sports isn't for you we also offer a range of recreational sports that can be found on our 'Give it a Go' and Move It sports pages. Group exercise classes can be found on our exercise class page .
