Join #TeamMDX as we celebrate UK Black Pride

UK Black Pride returns on Sunday 7 July, and this year the celebration is moving to a larger location: Haggerston Park in east London.

Founded in 2006, UK Black Pride is Europe’s largest celebration for people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Middle Eastern and Latin American descent who identify as LGBT+ and their friends. It’s free to attend, and we hope to be joined by colleagues, students and friends from other universities across London.

Everyone is welcome to join us for our first community picnic in the park; just bring along some food and refreshments – you might even want to bring along something traditional from your home country!

Please do register for a space (via the MDXSU site), so that we can send out more information about the meeting place closer to the time. You can find out more about UK Black Pride here.

We will also be walking in the Pride in London Parade on Saturday 6 July.

If you would like to get in touch with the Middlesex University LGBT+ Everyone Else Forum, please email lgbt@mdx.ac.uk or tweet @MiddlesexLGBT.

Details of our LGBT+ liberation group for students can be found on the MDXSU website.
