Your work at the University will be assessed in a number of ways and you should always be aware of the assessment requirements of your modules. There may be a choice and it is very important that you complete all the required parts of the assessment. Often modules are assessed using various methods - e.g. two short coursework essays and a two-hour examination.
At the beginning of each module ensure that you have a written statement of the assessment requirements of the module. This will be outlined in the module guide or subject handbook. Many modules require that all assessment components are passed. Some modules have specific attendance requirements for successful completion of the module, which may be 100 percent in some cases.
