Academic reading

How is academic reading different from other types of reading? What are some things you need to think about when reading at university?

This short intro talks through the importance of active reading as well as reading strategies to help you acquire this important skill.

It also includes some introductory questions that help you to consider the information that is presented in academic sources (books, research articles, etc.)

Personal eTextbooks

Free personal eTextbooks are provided to all students enrolled on undergraduate and postgraduate taught modules based at the UK Hendon campus. The eTextbook is yours to keep through your degree and after.

The eTextbook scheme is run in partnership with the company Kortext. Look out for emails from Kortext sent to your Middlesex University email account. These emails activate your eTextbooks and update you on any new books added to your account.
