27/05/2015
"No plus no plus no plus a change of approach plus no plus no plus time equals “YES" says entrepreneur Priya Lakhani on her approach to success.

feed your passion news imageMasala/Masala founder Priya was just one of four VIP speakers who attended our latest PG Connect event, held exclusively for MDX postgraduate students and those interested in postgraduate study to discuss how students can turn their passion into a career.

Other speakers at our 'Feed your passion' evening included marketing guru Phil Rumbol and 'hipster-hotspot' Cereal Killer café owners Gary and Alan Keery.

Phil spoke about the importance of following your own instincts before recalling his own relationship with intuition and success in his Cadbury 'Drumming Gorilla' advert which went viral in 2007. Gary and Alan then discussed their whirlwind rise to fame with their ground breaking 'cereal only' café concept before joining Priya and Phil in a Q&A in which students had their questions answered by the panel.

"You are lucky to have an entire department for entrepreneurial help" Priya told students how fortunate MDX was to have its own Enterprise Development Hub' to nurture student start-up ideas. "Not every uni has that"

The evening concluded with networking session in which both speakers and audience exchanged ideas and advice over drinks.
