    Joining the Fitness Pod

    The Fitness Pod is our fitness facility right here on campus. Memberships can be purchased from the Fitness Pod reception, located on the lower ground floor of MDX House. Please bring identification with your payment (credit and debit cards accepted). For more information on training and classes, click here.

    Join a sports club

    Middlesex University have developed links with a number of local community sports clubs such as the basketball, hockey, netball, rugby, running, swimming and table tennis clubs. Take advantage of these opportunities and make direct contact with the sports club of your choice. Check our local facilities page for further information.

    Stay healthy, mind and body with Health Matters@MDX

    Sign up to our free HealthMatters@MDX wellbeing messaging service. Click this link and hit GET STARTED. Regular health tips, practical advice and coping strategies for first years!

    Contact your Personal Tutor

    If you need any form of personal tutoring or academic advice, your Personal Tutor is dedicated to helping you progress to your next year and successfully complete your studies. Get in touch with them for accurate learning information, support, and advice.

    Familiarise yourself with our Wellbeing support services

    There are dedicated Counselling and Mental Health Team to provide you with mental wellbeing support and a confidential individual counselling service. Find out about other services we can offer you here.

    Take advantage of our Disability and Dyslexia support (DDS) services

    The Student Welfare Advice team helps students deal with any financial, practical, or legal difficulties that may arise while studying at Middlesex.     Get your own space in Sunny Hill House Garden

    We know uni life can be hectic but there is space for you to reflect and have some piece and quite. The gardens behind Sunny Hill House have been redeveloped and landscaped into a secluded and quiet contemplation space.

    Get Independent and confidential advice from the students' union

    If you need general advice or help on any aspect of your life as a student you can contact the MDXSU advice team at with your name, student number, telephone number and a brief outline about your issue. Find out more information on the MDXSU website.

    Here are five tips that can help you when feeling homesick:

    • Stay positive and don’t doubt your decisions.
